If you have equipped both a blunt weapon and a pair of dual wield, you can use a dual wield skill like Frenzy to start attacking with your dual wield weapons and then use a bludgeoning skill like Hammer of the Ancients to switch to your club. Still, the choice is yours in Diablo 4 now that you know how to switch your weapons.The Barbarian, for example, has skills that have the tag Dual Wield and skills that have the tag Bludgeoning. The auto-select weapon usually does the most damage because the specific skill you’re using is intended to use that kind of weapon. I found that sticking with the auto-select weapon was the best choice for my Barbarian build most of the time in Diablo 4. Although, not all skills will allow you to manually select a skill. If you cycle through the Arsenal Selection, you can choose what weapon to use when you perform that skill. However, you can also manually choose what weapon to use in some cases.

If you go to the skill assignment page and hover over any skills, you can see the “Arsenal Selection” section appear at the bottom of the skill card. Essentially, whenever you want to perform a specific skill, the game will automatically switch your weapons depending on what weapon is required for that skill. Luckily, Diablo 4 takes care of that manually. You can put weapons into any one of these slots, but you still need to know how to bring one of them out when you want it.
